| Security guard from Montreal 'bed-in' shares memories |
Retired security guard George Urquhart remembers when he was the one on duty when John Lennon and Yoko Ono staged their "bed-in for peace" at Montreal's Queen Elizabeth Hotel in 1969. | Give Peace a Chance lyrics up for sale |
John Lennon's handwritten lyrics for the hit song "Give Peace a Chance" will go under the hammer at auction in July and are expected to fetch $400-600,000. The lyrics are being sold by comedy writer and presenter Gail Renard, who was 16 when Lennon and Yoko Ono staged their famous "Bed-In" at a hotel in Montreal in 1969. | Documentary producers reject Yoko's Imagine lawsuit |
Producers of Expelled have rejected Yoko's recent lawsuit and say unbiased viewers of the film will see that the "Imagine" clip was used as part of a social commentary in the exercise of free speech. Yoko Ono, Sean Ono Lennon and Julian Lennon are suing the filmmakers of "Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed" for using the song "Imagine" in the documentary without permission.
