First Reports: Paul to play on new Liverpool tribute album [Posted by Adam Kane on Monday, 04/21/08 6:54 am] [Digg This] According to The Sun newspaper in the UK today, Paul McCartney will play on a forthcoming album that will pay tribute to the ex-Beatle's home city of Liverpool. Paul is set to play mandolin on the album, which will be released later in 2008. The sound of Paul's mandolin is very prominent in the song Dance Tonight on his latest album, Memory Almost Full, which was released last June. Many news outlets are also reporting that plans are afoot for a McCartney world tour throughout 2008, although specific dates are yet to be announced.
