Petition to have Brian Epstein commemorated in Liverpool [Posted by Dave Haber on Wednesday, 04/16/08 7:36 pm] [Digg This] Beatles fan Hugh Mulhall believes there should be some permanent and visible way to commemorate the life of Brian Epstein, the man who discovered The Beatles and who died before he had chance to enjoy the fruits of his labour, and he's not alone. Next year Liverpool is European City of Culture, and Maggi Hambling has been approached to create a sculpture to be placed at the site of St Lukes at the top of Bold Street, close to the place of Brian Epstein's birth. Though there is little of solid detail yet, with some help there will be a monument to recognise his achivement, in Liverpool. To this end, Hugh hopes you can sign their petition to request the Prime Minister to Support the Campaign to create a lasting and fitting tribute to Brian Epstein.
